NetShelter Metered Rack PDUs
Metered Rack Power Distribution Units provide real-time remote monitoring of connected loads. User-defined alarms warn of possible circuit overloads before critical IT failures.
APC Scaled Rack Distribution Units (PDUs) offer active metering to provide energy optimization and circuit protection. User-defined alarm thresholds reduce risk with real-time local and remote alarms to alert you of potential circuit overloads. Scaled Rack PDUs provide power usage data to help Data Center Managers make informed decisions to load balance and right-size IT environments for the lowest cost of ownership. Users can access and configure Scaled Rack PDUs through secure Web, SNMP or Telnet Interfaces, complemented by APC Centralized Management Platforms InfraStruxure Central, Operations, Capacity and Energy Efficiency. The new AP8000 series Scaled Rack PDUs feature real power monitoring, a temperature/humidity sensor port, locking IEC receptacles and ultra-low-profile circuit breakers.
Usability
- Flash Upgradeable - Quickly and easily upgrade firmware via network download for future product enhancements. Eliminates the need to replace products already installed in the field when new features are released.
- Integrates with StruxureWare Data Center Expert - Scalable management and auditing platform that provides real-time device monitoring and instant event notification.
- Load Indicator LED - Indicates overload and warning conditions based on user-completed alarm thresholds. Alerts users to potentially overloaded circuits.
- Alarm Thresholds - Define alarm thresholds to prevent overloaded circuits. Network and visual alarms inform the user of potential problems. (Note: Only available on units with current monitoring capability. Please see SKU specifications for availability)
- Load Current Monitor Display - Total current draw of each power distribution unit is shown by the digital display on the unit. Local digital display helps installers prevent overloaded circuits by providing a visual warning when current draw approaches the strip's maximum amperage draw. (Available on designated SKUs only)
- Remote Management Capabilities - Fully featured network management interfaces that provide standards-based management via Web, SNMP, and Telnet. Allows users to access, configure, and manage units from remote locations to save time. Also associated with this feature is the ability to quickly and easily update product information by network uploading to installed units for future product updates. (Note: Applies only to units classified as Network Attached).

- Variety of input and output connections - The product family includes a variety of input and output connections to distribute 120V, 208V or 230V power to multiple outlets. Having a variety of inputs and outputs allows users to adapt to changing power requirements. APC offers units up to 14.4kW using a single branch reel.
- Single input power supply - Supply power to multiple pieces of equipment from a single branch reel, conveniently powering rack-mounted equipment. Save time and money during installation by using a single branch reel and standard connections.
- Rack mountable - Offers horizontal, vertical and tool-less mounting options. Puts power where it's needed most - in racks, next to equipment.
